The cosmic Christ fills all the universe,
or universes, as the case may be,
with the delight and the love and the transcendent being
of That Which Is.
This is available to everyone, not on the basis
of their talents, or intelligence, or ingenuity,
but simply on the basis of God’s infinite goodness.
The total gratuity of his hospitality,
which extends to every human being,
at least as an offer,
is the divine essence itself,
than which there is no more delicious nourishment.

Who will bring a charge against God’s chosen ones?
It is God who acquits us.
Who will condemn?
It is Christ [Jesus] who died, rather, was raised,
who also is at the right hand of God,
who indeed intercedes for us.
What will separate us from the love of Christ?
Will anguish, or distress, or persecution, or famine,
or nakedness, or peril, or the sword?
… No, in all these things we conquer overwhelmingly
through him who loved us.
For I am convinced that neither death, nor life,
nor angels, nor principalities,
nor present things, nor future things,
nor powers, nor height, nor depth,
nor any other creatures will be able
to separate us from the love of God
in Christ Jesus our Lord.

El Cristo Cósmico
El Cristo Cósmico llena todo el universo,
o los universos, si así fuera,
con el deleite, el amor y el ser trascendente
de Lo Que Es.
Está disponible para todos, y esto no es debido a nuestros talentos.
o a nuestra inteligencia, o ingenio,
sino simplemente a la infinita bondad de Dios.
La total gratuidad de su hospitalidad
que extiende a todo ser humano,
cuando menos como un ofrecimiento,
es la esencia divina misma,
que no hay mas delicioso alimento.

¿Quién podrá acusar a los elegidos de Dios?
Dios es el que justifica.
¿Quién se atreverá a condenarlos?
¿Será acaso Jesucristo, el que murió, más aún, el que resucitó,
y está a la derecha de Dios e intercede por nosotros? .
¿Quién podrá entonces separarnos del amor de Cristo?
¿Las tribulaciones, las angustias, la persecución, el hambre,
la desnudez, los peligros, la espada?...
Pero en todo esto obtenemos una amplia victoria,
gracias a aquel que nos amó
Porque tengo la certeza de que ni la muerte ni la vida,
ni los ángeles ni los principados,
ni lo presente ni lo futuro, ni los poderes espirituales,
ni lo alto ni lo profundo,
ni ninguna otra criatura podrá
separarnos jamás del amor de Dios,
manifestado en Cristo Jesús, nuestro Señor
